The olive tree saga finally got a resolution, and it wasn’t a flattering one: Wyatt left a forged note signed “Adam” to cover his own theft, and Tayla ran with it straight into another blow-up with Jolene over a plasterer. The charity house reveal was genuinely lovely. Everything either side of it was not.
The forged note
Wyatt and Courtney’s olive tree heist finally caught up with them, except Wyatt’s exit strategy was leaving a note reading “sorry for stealing the tree, Adam (House 1)” on the returned plant. Production called it out as the stitch-up it obviously was, but not before Tayla had already accepted it as gospel and started a fresh war with Jolene over it. “Mr Integrity himself, bringing it back,” as one commenter put it.
Tayla vs the plasterer
Convinced Adam had stolen the tree, Tayla marched over to lecture Jolene’s plasterer about labourers, at one point citing a Google search as her source. The thread had zero patience left: “not your business Tayla, stay the fuck out of it” was about as polite as the responses got. Even fans usually sympathetic to Tayla’s chaos agreed this was the one time Jolene was fully in the right.
The van standoff
Jolene and the shared delivery van produced its own stoush, with Maddy and Charlotte’s team holding onto it longer than Jolene thought fair. Reddit was split on the delivery (several thought Jolene’s tone did her no favours) but largely agreed with the substance: “sorry, it’s not your van, it’s a shared asset,” as one reply put it to the other team.
The Flintstones bath
Rick and Tayla’s giant stone bathtub arrived to genuine bewilderment, with the thread landing hard on Flintstones comparisons. Rick got some credit for calmly loading it up with garden rubbish rather than making a scene about where it had been dumped.
The charity reveal, genuinely good
Credit where it’s due: both charity units looked great, and the recipient’s reaction to his new home was the one unscripted, unmanufactured moment in an otherwise chaotic episode. Even the most cynical corners of the thread agreed the outcome, if not the sponsor plugs along the way, was worth the screen time.
Verdict
A forged confession note, a stolen tree, a van feud and a Flintstones bathtub, all in one episode, and somehow the charity reveal still came out as the highlight. Reveal night’s been bumped to Monday, so there’s an extra few days to see whether Jolene forgives anyone by then. Don’t hold your breath.
