The Block 2026 reserve prices are out. All five Mount Eliza houses carry the same reserve of $3.45 million, according to reports from Domain and TV Central published on 16 October 2026.
The figures first surfaced when host Shelley Craft revealed them on live TV, earlier than planned. Domain says its national property editor, Alice Stolz, was in the room when the five teams were told the numbers, and co-creator and executive producer Julian Cress said the reserves were lowered because the production wants the contestants to take home the profits.

How it compares with the price guides
The Domain listings carry price guides of $3.6 million to $3.9 million, so the reserve sits roughly $150,000 below the bottom of the guide range. A reserve below the guide is unusual on The Block, where sellers have often set reserves well above the advertised range.
Why the reserves are public this year
Victoria’s new auction rules, which started on 1 October 2026, require the seller’s reserve to be published as a single dollar figure at least seven days before an auction held on or after 16 October. Domain reports this is the first time in the show’s history that bidders will know the reserves before the first bid is called. Our explainer on the law covers the detail.
When is the auction?
Domain reports the auction is scheduled for filming on Saturday 31 October, with the finale airing on Sunday 1 November. Nine has not formally announced the broadcast time, so we will update this post once it does. Nine also confirmed to Domain on 21 October that the reserve prices will not change before the auction.
