The furniture store blow-up got a sequel, and this time it came with actual trespassing. Between Wyatt going through sealed boxes in Jolene’s garage and Wyatt and Courtney flat-out claiming trees they never won, r/TheBlock spent Episode 31 running out of patience with basically everyone.
Wyatt in the boxes
Wyatt let himself into Jolene’s house, opened sealed boxes that weren’t his, and then told producers “we haven’t even broken in.” The footage disagreed. When Jolene understandably lost it, Wyatt and Courtney’s version of events didn’t match the replay either, and production called them on it on camera. Even commenters who don’t rate Jolene were on her side for this one: “no shit she’s intimidated,” as one put it, describing a bloke built like Wyatt standing in the dark with his hands on his hips.
The tree heist
Wyatt decided the plants at Bunnings were his by default and went to reclaim ones Rick and Tayla had actually won. The thread was not having it: “you can’t claim the trees if you haven’t won them you knobhead” summed up the general mood. Even Wyatt’s own teammates seemed baffled by the logic.
Jolene’s selective memory
Fair warning that the sympathy for Jolene came with an asterisk: she was the one laughing along when Lisa snooped through house 2 a fortnight ago, and Adam’s own habit of wandering into other houses is a running joke on the show. The thread’s verdict was basically “rules for thee, not for me,” on both sides of this fight.
Tayla’s beach day
While the charity house allegedly went unattended by house 2, Tayla spent part of the episode at the beach, insisting she was “right outside” while filmed sitting in the sand. It didn’t stop her taking out the hardest worker award soon after, a decision the thread found almost as funny as the AI slop tally.
AI slop, final count
The nightly tradition continued, with one commenter’s running tally landing on nine separate instances by the credits, Star Wars-style opening crawl included. Small mercy: at least the crawl itself wasn’t AI generated, which is apparently the bar now.
Verdict
Two episodes running, Freedom furniture and now a backyard full of stolen shrubbery, and the thread has officially run out of goodwill for the entire cast bar Rick and maybe Roscoe. The charity house still isn’t finished, nobody trusts anybody’s version of events, and there’s an olive tree saga reportedly still to come. Grab the snacks, this one’s not slowing down.
