Another 24 hours on The Block, another waterproofer sacked, another bathroom torn up twice, and another round of Blockheads arguing in the group chat about whether a monkey lives in Wyatt’s head. Business as usual in Mount Eliza. Here’s what the fans and the mastheads made of it all.
What Blockheads Are Saying
“The monkey in Wyatt’s head doesn’t even clap at this point.”

The live discussion thread for Tuesday’s ensuite episode pulled close to 500 comments, and the mood was not gentle. Wyatt copped the bulk of it (variations on “flog” appear at least a dozen times), Jolene was accused of having approximately zero empathy for a crying rival, and half the thread wanted to know why “licensed” tradespeople keep getting waterproofing so spectacularly wrong on national television. But the line that actually made us laugh out loud was u/AdLow5794’s verdict on Wyatt’s general enthusiasm levels: the monkey in his head doesn’t even clap at this point. Harsh. Accurate, according to about twenty upvotes worth of Blockheads, but harsh.
What the Mastheads Ran Today
WHO went straight to Courtney and Sev for the full story behind Tuesday’s waterproofing disaster, in which their regular waterproofers were on holiday, their stand-in tiler’s work failed, and production had to send in the Cursio brothers to save the room, despite Chantel and Wyatt reportedly telling the pair not to accept the help. Courtney and Sev say they were “eaten up” by the whole saga, partly over the deadline and partly over worrying it would torch their tiler’s reputation on TV. B&T’s ratings wrap covered the same fallout from the numbers side, confirming the contractor was sacked on site and that none of the chaos dented the show’s lead: The Block again ranked third nationally for the night with a 1.045 million average audience.
That’s the wrap. Go outside, touch some grass, and we’ll see what fresh disaster tomorrow’s episode delivers.
