Tomorrow night The Block finally drags itself out of pre-season limbo and back onto Channel Nine, so today was less about drama and more about everyone clearing their throats before the big reveal. r/TheBlock has gone almost suspiciously quiet the last 24 hours, nothing fresh enough to crown a snarkiest comment of the day, which honestly tracks: why waste your best material the night before the countdown clock starts. The mastheads had no such restraint, though, and spent today filling in every gap before Sunday’s premiere.
What the Mastheads Ran Today
TV Tonight ran the fullest cast rundown of the day, walking through all five 2026 teams ahead of Sunday, including Adam and Jolene’s cattle station background and Courtney’s secret 110-bathroom renovation resume she’s apparently been downplaying to the others as “just admin.” Similar cast primers also landed today from Pedestrian.tv and Refinery29, so if you only read one, make it the TV Tonight version.
On the location front, Home Beautiful had the most detail on the Mount Eliza site itself, the first-ever waterfront season, and the new twist that has contestants bunking in a share house instead of living on site. The same ground was covered today by Domain, WHO and New Idea, each running their own version of the “everything you need to know” explainer.
Nothing today reads like an actual new leak or twist beyond what’s already confirmed, just premiere-eve housekeeping. See you back here Monday when there’s finally a build to actually complain about.
