Channel Nine has released the first official teaser trailer for The Block 2026, and it delivers more than just a pretty coastal backdrop: the clip confirms all five competing teams for Season 22 by name for the first time.
Filming has officially wrapped at 109 Old Mornington Road, Mount Eliza on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, where the five teams spent approximately 12 weeks building luxury homes from scratch. The teaser gives viewers a glimpse of the coastal setting but keeps the renovation drama firmly under wraps for now.
The Block 2026 Contestant Teams
The five teams competing in Season 22 are:
- Tayla and Rick (Ricky) from Victoria
- Chantel and Wyatt from Queensland
- Courtney (Sev) and Sevilay from Queensland
- Jolene and Adam Wagner from South Australia
- Rosco Wilson and Lisa Dunbar from Western Australia
Former Block contestants and fans were quick to react to the trailer on social media. Emma and Ben from the 2025 Daylesford season commented “Welcome to our side of town fam!” while Robby and Mat added “Enjoy and love thy neighbour.” Judge Shaynna Blaze was enthusiastic too, writing that she couldn’t wait for everyone to see the season.
The Location: A Waterfront First
Scott Cam noted at the start of filming that it was the first time in 22 seasons the show had a water view location. The site at 109 Old Mornington Road overlooks Port Phillip Bay, with Melbourne’s skyline visible on the horizon on clear days.
A production source described the 2026 season as “one of the most premium yet,” with reserve prices expected to exceed the 2025 figures that attracted significant backlash after two homes failed to sell at the Daylesford auction.
The Regular Cast Returns
The full regular cast is back for 2026. Scott Cam and Shelley Craft return as hosts, with Darren Palmer, Shaynna Blaze and Marty Fox back as judges. Foreman Dan Reilly also returns, having marked the end of filming by walking his newborn son Fletcher around the completed Mount Eliza site.

The Block 2026 starts Sunday 2 August 2026 on Channel Nine and 9Now, revealed in the official trailer alongside confirmed team colours and a series-first shared house twist.
