With the official trailer now out and a premiere date locked in for Sunday 2 August, we finally have confirmation of the five teams competing on The Block 2026, and the colours they’ll wear all season.
The Block 2026 teams at a glance
- Yellow team: Lisa and Rosco (Western Australia)
- Red team: Adam and Jolene (South Australia)
- Green team: Rick and Tayla (Victoria)
- Blue team: Chantel and Wyatt (Gold Coast)
- Pink team: Sev and Courtney (Brisbane)
Who’s who
Green: Rick and Tayla (VIC)
The local hopes, and self-declared superfans: Nine’s first detail on the green team is that they’re huge fans of Scotty Cam. Secondary reporting has them as father-daughter duo Tayla and Rick Peroomal, with Rick bringing more than three decades of trade experience through his restoration business. Father-daughter teams are a rarity on The Block, and a tradie parent is historically a serious advantage.
Red: Adam and Jolene (SA)
The country contingent. Nine describes the pair as “countrysiders” who can run a farm, with the question being how they’ll go running a job site.
“We’re not classy, we swear too much, we’re rough diamonds,” Adam says.
Pink: Courtney and Sev (QLD)
The team with a secret weapon. “I am a site manager in commercial construction, I’ve renovated 110 bathrooms in three weeks,” Courtney reveals in Nine’s cast introduction. The twist: she’s telling the other Blockheads she’s “just in admin”. Tactical or sneaky, that’s serious renovating firepower, and paired with Sev’s reported interior design background, the pink team could be the pair to beat.
Blue: Chantel and Wyatt (QLD)
The Gold Coast couple met at the gym and have been inseparable since. “Big Dog” Wyatt claims zero building experience (unless bodybuilding counts) and is planning to learn on the go.
Yellow: Lisa and Rosco (WA)
Nine is keeping the yellow team under wraps, calling them “perhaps the most mysterious couple joining the season”. Secondary reporting places them as West Australians Rosco Wilson and Lisa Dunbar, rounding out a cast drawn from four states.
A note on names: team first names, colours and the details quoted above are confirmed by Nine’s official trailer and cast introduction. Surnames and some background details are drawn from secondary reporting and remain unconfirmed until Nine publishes official cast bios, expected closer to the premiere. We’ll update this post when they land.
