The Block Locations: Every Season from 2003 to 2027

Every season of The Block comes down to the same question before the first hammer swings: where are they doing it this time? Here is the full list, from four tired Bondi apartments in 2003 to the confirmed The Block 2027 site at Sunbury, with the street addresses, winners, house counts and links to our season hubs.

Quick version: the show started in Sydney, spent its first few seasons bouncing between Bondi, Manly and Vaucluse, then moved to Melbourne in 2011 and has barely left Victoria since. (The one exception is the 2013 All Stars season, which went back to Bondi.)

The Block 2027: Sunbury, Victoria

Address: Jacksons Hill estate, Sunbury VIC 3429. No street number has been published yet. The five homes are being carved out of three heritage buildings (B26, B27 and B28) in the former Sunbury asylum precinct, with a sixth renovation in a nearby building for the spin-off.

Season 23 heads about 40 km north-west of Melbourne’s CBD to the heritage-listed Caloola site in Sunbury (we cover it in depth in our Sunbury and Jacksons Hill explainer). The buildings date back to 1865, there are five renovation projects, and Nine has confirmed a secret sixth house for a Stan spin-off, The House Next Door. Scott Cam summed it up as "the boldest extension ever" and said The Block is going "full Bridgerton".

The catch: heritage protections will limit what contestants can actually change, which should make for some very tense meetings with a very patient council. Sunbury’s median house price sits well below Mount Eliza’s, so expect the auction maths to be a very different conversation.

The Block 2026: Mount Eliza, Victoria

Address: 109 Old Mornington Road, Mount Eliza VIC. The 1.35 hectare site was reportedly bought by Channel Nine for around $11 million and subdivided into five blocks.

Season 22 is the first to give the contestants water views across Port Phillip Bay, on the Mornington Peninsula. It premiered on 2 August 2026 and the auctions are still to come, so the winner is not yet known. Median prices here are far higher than at any recent location, which means the reserves will be watched closely.

The Block 2025: Daylesford, Victoria

Address: 1 Raglan Street, Daylesford VIC, part of the Middleton Field development led by Hygge Property.

A country-town season built around five sustainable pavilion-style homes on 2,400 square metre blocks. Britt and Taz Etto took the win. See the The Block 2025 hub for recaps, room reveals and supplier details.

The Block 2024: Phillip Island, Victoria

Address: 113-119 Justice Road, Cowes VIC 3922 (the former Island Cove Villas, bought for a reported $9.5 million).

The Block XX was a holiday-home season on Phillip Island, and one buyer, billionaire Adrian Portelli, snapped up all five houses. Maddy and Charlotte Harry won. Head to the The Block 2024 hub for the full story.

The Block 2023: Hampton East, Victoria

Address: Charming Street, Hampton East VIC. Nine bought five classic brick homes here for an estimated $14.3 million.

Bayside suburbia with a big result at the end: Steph and Gian Ottavio won, finishing $1.65 million above reserve. More on the The Block 2023 hub.

The Block 2022: Gisborne (Macedon Ranges), Victoria

Address: McGeorge Road, Gisborne VIC.

The Tree Change season, and the show’s first real venture into regional Victoria. Omar Slaimankhel and Ozman Abu Malik won. See the The Block 2022 hub.

The Block 2021: Hampton, Victoria

Address: Bronte Court, Hampton VIC (five properties).

Fans v Faves brought back fan-favourite contestants to renovate heritage-style homes in Hampton. Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie won. See the The Block 2021 hub.

The Block 2020: Brighton, Victoria

Address: 360 New Street, Brighton VIC.

Five weatherboard homes in Brighton, with Jimmy and Tam Wilkins taking the win in a season remembered for auction-day drama. See the The Block 2020 hub.

The Block 2019: St Kilda, Victoria

Address: 38 Grey Street, St Kilda VIC (the Oslo Hotel).

The Oslo Hotel conversion, a grand old St Kilda building turned into five homes. Tess Cattana and Luke Struber won. See the The Block 2019 hub.

The Block 2018: St Kilda, Victoria

Address: 34 Fitzroy Street, St Kilda VIC (the Gatwick Hotel).

The Gatwick Hotel in St Kilda, and a season that sparked plenty of debate about gentrification. Hayden and Sara Vale won. See the The Block 2018 hub.

2003 to 2017: from Bondi to Elsternwick

2017, Elsternwick (VIC): 46 Regent Street. Five interwar weatherboard houses. Elyse Knowles and Josh Barker won.

2016, Port Melbourne (VIC): 164 Ingles Street. A heritage art deco building that was once a soap factory, converted into five apartments. William Bethune and Karlie Cicero won.

2015, South Yarra (VIC): two seasons in one suburb. Triple Threat was at 27 Darling Street (four apartments, won by Darren and Deanne Jolly). Blocktagon was at 1A Affleck Street, the former Hotel Saville on the corner of Commercial Road (five apartments in an octagonal building, won by Dean and Shay Paine). We covered the early buzz in The Block Triple Treat locations.

2014, Albert Park and Prahran (VIC): Fans v Faves turned the former Dux cinema warehouse at 47 O’Grady Street, Albert Park into four lofts (Steve O’Donnell and Chantelle Ford won), then the Glasshouse season converted an office building at 121-127 High Street, Prahran into five apartments (Shannon and Simon Voss won).

2013, Bondi (NSW) and South Melbourne (VIC): The All Stars season returned to Tasman Street, Bondi with four houses (Phil Rankine and Amity Dry won), followed by Sky High at 142 Park Street, South Melbourne, a motel conversion with five apartments (Alisa and Lysandra Fraser won). Here is our original South Melbourne motel report.

2012, South Melbourne (VIC): 401-407 Dorcas Street, four houses. Brad Cranfield and Lara Welham won.

2011, Richmond (VIC): Cameron Street (numbers 37 to 43), the first Victorian season, with four workers’ cottages. Polly Porter and Warwick Jones won, and Shelley Craft joined Scott Cam as co-host.

2010, Vaucluse (NSW): 107 New South Head Road. The show returned after a six-year break with four apartments. John and Neisha Pitt won, and Scott Cam took over hosting.

2004, Manly (NSW): 77 Whistler Street, four run-down apartments. Andrew Rochford and Jamie Nicholson won.

2003, Bondi Beach (NSW): 67 Roscoe Street, where it all began, with four apartments and Jamie Durie hosting. Adam Thorn and Fiona Mills won.
