The Block Glasshouse: Auction Results

Auction day was one of the most emotional in the show’s early years. Winning brothers Shannon and Simon Vos took home $335,000 in prize money after their apartment sold for $1.9 million, the biggest result of the season. Jenna and Chris came second with $310,000. Karstan and Maxine took home $40,000. Darren and Deanne and Michael and Carlene each won just $10,000 after their apartments sold for under $1.4 million.

Where Are They Now?

Shannon and Simon Vos (winners): the brothers have kept building since their win, with Simon running a construction company and Shannon managing an interior design business. The pair also launched their own venture, Vos Creative, in 2015.

Michael and Carlene: the Gold Coast couple went on to appear on Channel Nine’s Reno Rumble and later hosted Ready, Set, Reno and Open Homes Australia. They launched their own design and construction business, Cedar + Suede, and renovated their own family home on the Gold Coast.

Darren and Deanne: after winning just $10,000 on Glasshouse, Darren and Deanne Jolly returned to The Block the following year, in 2015, and this time won the whole season, taking home $935,000.

Jenna and Chris, and Karstan and Maxine: completed the five-team Glasshouse lineup. We’ll update this section with further detail on where they are now as it comes to hand.
