Meet Courtney Kain and Sevilay Keser: The Block 2026’s Pink Team

Among the five teams confirmed for The Block 2026, the Brisbane pairing of Courtney Kain and Sevilay Keser (known on site as Sev) is shaping up as one to watch, not least because one half of the team has been quietly downplaying just how much building experience she brings to Mount Eliza.

Who are Courtney and Sev?

The pair are from Brisbane, Queensland, putting them among the interstate teams taking on the Mornington Peninsula site. In Nine’s official cast introduction, Courtney reveals she is a site manager in commercial construction and has “renovated 110 bathrooms in three weeks”, a serious resume by Block standards.

The twist: Courtney has reportedly been telling the other Blockheads she is “just in admin”, keeping her real experience under wraps. Whether that is a genuine tactic to avoid being seen as a threat, or simply a bit of early-season mischief, it is exactly the kind of detail that tends to shape how a team is perceived once challenges begin.

Sev’s background is in interior design, giving the pink team a combination Nine has favoured before: a partner with real trade or site experience paired with a partner who can direct the design decisions. Teams with that mix have historically performed well once the build gets underway.

What to expect

With construction know-how that the other teams may not be aware of, and a design eye to match, Courtney and Sev have the makings of a genuine contender. Whether the “just in admin” cover story survives the first few weeks of filming remains to be seen.
