The Block 2026 Episode 11: What r/TheBlock Actually Thought

Main Bedroom and WIR round two brought arches, Frankenstein bedheads and a lunch break stoush that had the thread picking sides harder than any room reveal has managed all season.

Courtney and Sev are somehow still overspending

The girls reportedly blew through close to $90,000 across the first two weeks, and the thread’s patience for it is wearing thin. More than one fan reckons the show is quietly bankrolling them regardless of the numbers.

If the girls manage to go 15 to 20k over budget again this week and win the room, the show’s cooked in my eyes.

Courtney’s lunch break call split the room

A stoush over shifting a tradie’s lunch by half an hour turned into a genuine debate about workplace entitlements, with some backing Courtney’s site management and others thinking the whole thing was staged for drama.

Sorry Dan, I’m on her side on this one, you have to stagger your trades’ lunch so they can have access to the same spaces at the same time.

The AI music is back and repeating itself

Just when the thread thought the AI-generated score might ease off, it returned in full force, with some fans convinced the show is recycling the same tracks.

Are they repeating songs now? Did their Suno free trial run out?

Wyatt’s tooth saga refuses to die

The toothache storyline rolled into a second episode, and even the show’s own McCafe extra reportedly looked bored by it. Sympathy in the thread remains close to zero, especially since he still hasn’t seen a dentist.

Nobody trusts Tayla near a kitchen

Tayla’s kitchen inexperience became a running joke this week, with fans questioning how she landed a design role at all given her own team’s admission she’d never designed one before.

The verdict

Eleven episodes in, and the cast still hasn’t won the thread over: budgets keep blowing out with no consequences, the AI music is somehow worse the second time around, and half the teams are described as forgettable at best. A few diehards are hanging on purely to see if the girls’ spending finally catches up with them.

Back next week to see if anyone remembers this is a renovation show.
