Want to be a Blockhead for real? The Block is calling for auditions for the first 2016 show, shooting towards the end of the year. The location is yet to be announced .
Applications close 6pm, Sunday the 15th of February, 2015

- Couples must be aged between 18-65, energetic and with a sense of humour.
- 1st round couples will be reduced to final participants in the first week of filming.
- Successful couples must be available for a 10-12 week shoot period from late 2015. Exact dates to be confirmed closer to filming.
- Location of The Block is to be confirmed.
- You will NOT be able to work during the shoot period.
- Previous home renovation experience is an asset, but not required from both partners.
- Long term couples, family teams and enduring friendships need only apply.
- Submissions accepted from Australia wide.
- Successful participants will be paid a nominal weekly fee during filming of The Block to cover basic living costs and expenses.
- You must complete all elements of the application, including video, or your application will not be reviewed.
- Applications can only be made online. Hardcopy submissions will not be accepted or processed.
- McGregor Casting will carefully review applications for consideration of inclusion in The Block. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by March 2015.
- Due to the volume of applications, only successful applicants will be notified.

We promise we would make great television vewing combine with our building experience and our take the p155 sense of humor . We are easy going , knock about blokes that are looking for a life changing experience like the block , after years of watching the block religiously we have decided that we have the experience , the wacky sense of humour but also the drive to successfully complete and win the block 2016 . hey there Chanel 9…it looks like I’m very very late for 2016 auditions…honestly didn’t realise that we had to apply early on in the year for 2016…if you know the close date for 2017, can you please let me know…my brother-in law & me would love to come on the show…we have renovated & built 3 townhouses and have the experience…my bro-in law Sam is a painter decorater & when we were building all he would say to me is that I would comment with shrugging my shoulders…Sam has been with my sister for approximately 23 years so let me tell you that hanging it on eachother is 2nd to none…all my workmates sleep saying that I would make good TV & that they would watch me daily however I don’t entirely understand…all I know is that my bro in law & me are like your typical bro & sis that fight & bag eachother…we would make a great video that could possibly win an oscar…
I have been watching the block for years & would love the opportunity to get on. I know that Chanel 9 ratings won’t keep up with the viewers demand…packer may have to broadcast from other countries ☺️

Hi Block Team!!
Much to my dad’s dismay I live and work in the UK (private PA for HNW Arab family) and have for 10 years. I have 2 young children who want to come back to Australia for a 3 month holiday. I on the other hand want to come back and go on the Block!!! I somehow manage to watch the show every year from abroad and every year no matter how tough it looks, I can imagine myself there.
My team mate would be my dad – a 58y retired commercial builder who is currently sailing, skiing and 4WD’ing around the country. He laughed at the thought of entering us as a team…. but I know he will love it and would do anything to get me back in the country. We would be reunited…. the first father daughter team and I can assure you he will be great entertainment especially when Keith tells him how it’s done… My dad doesn’t like being told, especially as he is so used to being the boss on the job site!!
Even if we are too late for the next season I would love to enter the following season if you can please send me details!

Damn it. Just when I don’t have the kids and job for abit I miss this chance to apply with my beloved band 6 ft 4 third husband. I’m 43 and ready to be the next Dee. I would be feistier and more disliked and not only do I have good style ( more expensive than I can afford) I can also paint and work. I’ll clean stuff up too without complaint and can handle no make up though crappy portable toilets and showers work be a struggle (it’s only 10 weeks isn’t it!!)

Hi there, my husband and I are wondering how we apply to have our house rennovated on the block / reno rumble 2016. We have a 2 bedroom cottage on a 1000m2 block in southern adelaide. We have 4 kids who currently share a room. I am a part time teacher and mum (youngest child 18 months) and my husband works for a not for profit organisation which supports people / families with affordable housing. Are we too late or is there a way we could apply for a reno?? Thanks 🙂
