The Block 2024: Phillip Island Season Recap, Auction Results and Where They Are Now
The Block 2024 in one page: the Phillip Island season, the five teams (well, six, it is complicated), and the auction where Adrian Portelli bought the lot for $15.05 million.

Mustang, Meltdowns and a 70-Foot Palm Tree: The Block 2024’s Final Room Reveal Before Auction
Right, Let’s Set the Scene Eighty-five days. Twelve tools downs. Five houses that started life as a dust storm and a tent and somehow, against all reasonable odds, turned into multi-million dollar holiday mansions on Phillip Island. This is the last room reveal of Season 20 before the whole circus rolls into auction week, and…

Courtney and Grant Score a $30K Night as a Banned Benchtop Sinks Maddy and Charlotte
Right, Let’s Set the Scene Backyard Week has officially wrapped, which means five exhausted couples have spent seven days wrangling turf rolls, pool pumps, mystery tradies and enough Freedom furniture to bankrupt a small nation, all while Scott Cam wanders around like a school principal counting how many trucks are blocking the driveway. This week…

The Half-Point Nail-Biter: Courtney and Grant Pip Ricky and Haydn While Maddy and Charlotte’s Laundry Can’t Even Be Lifted
Right, Let’s Set the Scene Interiors are done, people. Every last laundry, guest bedroom and powder room on Phillip Island has finally been tiled, painted and, in at least one case, not actually finished at all. Scotty rolled up looking like a man who’s just been let off school camp early, because from next week…

Two Perfect Tens, One Peep Show and a Bloke Who Cried in a Doorway: The Block’s Office/Rumpus Week Gets Messy
Right, Let’s Set the Scene Scotty called this one “the trilogy of trials,” which is a very dramatic way of saying everyone had three separate ways to have a nervous breakdown in the space of seven days. Hallways, the Domain Buyers Jury, and then, almost as an afterthought, because apparently that’s fine now, an entire…

Kylie and Brad Nab Their Second Win While Kristian and Mimi’s TV Obsession Tanks Them to Last
Right, Let’s Set the Scene Living and dining week is the one Block producers have been building to all season, the biggest rooms, the biggest budgets, and, this year, the biggest gyprock shortage in the show’s history. Five plasterers standing around at $80 an hour with nothing to plaster is not what you’d call efficient…

Maddy and Charlotte Take the Win While Kylie and Brad Won’t Even Clap: Guest Ensuite Week Recap
Right, Let’s Set the Scene Seven weeks in and the wheels are officially wobbling. Half the cast has “design block,” the other half hasn’t slept since the Bledisloe Cup, and somewhere in the middle of all that Kristian and Mimi went full amateur detective on House One, allegedly enlisting “the AFP” to dig up old…

Penguin Point Saves the Day: Kylie and Brad Pip the Newbies by Half a Point in Kitchen Week
Right, Let’s Set the Scene Halfway through the season and it’s finally Kitchen Week, the one everyone’s been waiting for since Scotty first uttered the words “kitchens sell houses” back in episode one. Five teams, five completely different kitchens, and for the first time all season, everybody actually finished. No unfinished symphonies, no empty cabinet…

Jesse and Paige Are Out, the Newbies Are In, and Main Bedroom Week Ends in a Photo Finish
Right, Let’s Set the Scene Well, that’s a way to start an episode. Jesse and Paige are gone, walked off The Block for their mental health, hugs all round, Scotty Cam looking like he’s aged a decade in real time. “Nothing’s more important than your mental health,” he tells them, which is true and also…

The Block 2024: Kylie and Brad Knock Back a Penguin and Hand Kristian and Mimi Their Third Win
Right, Let’s Set the Scene Guest bedroom number two, everybody. Not to be confused with guest bedroom number one back in week two, which feels like about nine years ago now given how much has happened since, Bar Crushers, fired builders, a birthday putt-putt tournament with a semi-professional golfing Scott Cam. This week the Blockheads…
